Monty Taylor is a lighting designer with a wide range of experience. He works on projects from no-budget experimental pieces to arena-scale concerts. He is a member of The Satori Group and with them focuses on the role of design in ensemble-generated new work.

Currently residing in Seattle, Washington, he got his BFA in Directing at Abilene Christian University and then studied under Heather Carson at CalArts in the MFA Lighting Design program.

Monty is also a technologist, and has a custom lighting and production control system to which he is working on adding sound and video support.
